Ezekiel
I recently finished reading Ezekiel in my reading through the Bible in two years plan. Most of it involved depressing prophesies of how Israel (and then its enemies) were going to be destroyed and how much they all deserved God's wrath. Other parts though--the opening visions and some of the visions of Israel's restoration--reminded me of something that'd be written for a fantasy novels: creatures with wings and multiple heads and flying wheels, a shining, being made of flames, and a throne surrounded by a rainbow, bones that put themselves together and breathed and walked, God's voice like rushing water. I love reading accounts like that with such great visuals.
